The complete list of all changes is available as always in the changelog.
You can install the update as usual via the package management of your distribution:

yum update
After 10 years it is now time to replace the internal LiveConfig CA certificate. This is used both for license management and for the AppInstaller repository. We are taking this opportunity to switch to a more contemporary CA model and to ECDSA certificates.
The old LiveConfig root certificate will expire on February 21th, 2021. LiveConfig v2.11 already supports the new ECDSA certificates, and we have also prepared an RSA root certificate for a transitional period. During a license update or activation, LiveConfig automatically receives a “new” certificate (/etc/liveconfig/liveconfig.key
).
LiveConfig <= v2.10.4 will no longer be activated or extended after 02/21/2021.
Since running instances are not affected by this, this is usually not noticed at all. Communication with the license server would only fail when LiveConfig is restarted (if the license key is updated).
It is sufficient to simply update LiveConfig (see above). LiveConfig updates are, as always, completely smooth.
If you operate legacy systems and cannot update LiveConfig for whatever reason (which is difficult to understand), we offer a patch so that you can also use outdated LiveConfig versions with the new license certificates. Please contact support@liveconfig.com with an invoice number, license number or activation code.
